Finally a White Christmas

I know not all of you feel the same but I love the snow and if I "have to" live in Utah there better be snow for my baby's first Christmas. It will probably all melt in a couple days but at least we'll get a good day or two to play in it.
So it's been a while, ok a long while, since my last blog, Nathan and I were in charge of the ward Christmas party and it was this last Friday so I have more room in my brain now to blog, and my lovely sister-in-law likes to point out that blogging is not a talent of mine (because I've been working on your Christmas present ERIN!!!) I still love her because she took our family picture for us this year. She did such a wonderful job. These are just two that I liked and don't worry neither are the one in our Christmas card.

Nate was able to get some time off from work so we made a quick trip out to Cali for a pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving dinner with the Urrutias. It had almost been a year since all three of use where there together and of all weekends Nate had to pick the one of the "Holy War", BYU U football game. My parents spent the first two days we were there trying to find a way for Nate to watch it. And just in case you haven't picked up on the irony, we live three blocks from where the game was actually being played. But lucky the Gwin's saved us and we are eternally in their debt, well Nate is at least. We also got to go to Sacramento to watch our cousin Brett play football. The drive normally takes 2 hours but on this joyous day it took 5!!! crazy! Nahlia is such a trooper though, she wined the least between her and her dad and uncles. Brett's really amazing and we can't wait to watch him play at BYU next year. Nahlia also met all her Tautu cousins for the first time that night and she loved watching the boys all play together and they loved holding her and making her laugh. Morgan and MiMi took her down to the field when the cheerleaders performed. She loves the cheerleaders. We have to give a little shout out to cousin Maddox for having such cool toys at his Grandma's house especial the train and the rocking horse. Thanks Maddox, Nahlia loved them.

My little babies sleeping on the plane.

MiMi doesn't have a highchair at her house so she went old school and tied her in with a kids apron. Haha it was so funny and Nahlia had no idea what was happening.
Thanksgiving was wonderful. We spent it with the Nelson side of the family. It was a rough day for Nahlia though because she wasn't feeling very good but she still have fun with the fam.

That following weekend was the first day of Christmas lights at Temple Square and I was so excited to go. It's been years since I went last and it beautiful this year. Go if you can.

I love this time of year, the lights, the smells, the excitement, I love giving presents seriously its one of my favorite things, especially if you know its just perfect, baking, the snow, the music, the spirit of it all, the nativity story and Savior. Its just "the most wonderful time of the year" (sorry a cheese for you this morning). Anticipation just kills me.

Snowing Leaves

It just didn't feel like fall and then we woke up to a leave covered front yard. So we played in them.
Grandpa, Uncle B, and Aunt LaLa game to visit last weekend and we had some Halloween fun. Also my dad helped me get the rest of my kitchen in order. THANKS DAD. I thought Nahlia would be all halloweened out by the time actual Halloween happen but now I'm glad I took to so much Halloween stuff because Nate has a flag football game on Friday so we probably won't be able to do anything. My husband is so funny. He had an unprompted photo shoot with himself. They had a costume contest and this was one of the winner. He was pretty creepy.
We hope everyone has a Happy Halloween!!!

Halloween Sneak Peek

So my brother Craig has been a frequent visitor and we love seeing him. Nahlia loves Craig's laugh, she'll whip her head around trying to find him whenever he makes a sound. On his last visit we went to a great park in SLC that I'm in love with now to feed the geese.

Craig kept chasing the geese around trying to get them to fly. What a Goof! haha!
Nahlia was so tired.
We went and played at Johnny and Dillon house. Nahlia loves watching them run around.

They got a hold of my camera and took some hilarious pic. These two are my faves. In case you didn't know for one day it snowed all day and then it all melted but we got to play in it for a little while before church. The temp went back up to like the 70's the next day. Crazy! The playgroup that we go to had a little Halloween party last weekend and Nahlia dressed up as a little kitty. She looks like a cross of a bear and a sheep and cat though but oh well she's still cute. I can't wait until she can go trick or treating. (obviously so I can eat the candy)

You Asked For IT

Nathan GRADUATED!!! very exciting. We are now both done with school but it makes me feel old at the same time. I'm so proud of him for finishing school and am excitedly waiting for him to get the job he wants. We miss our friends we made in North Dakota had hope they're all doing well. Congratulation to Jake C. and Kyler A. for graduating, the Quakenbushes for the arrival of their little girl, and Dusty and Anna parents-to-be and anyone else having life changing experiences they are exciting times soak them in.

This the 360* simulator of an airport control tower Nate trained in. This was the first time I got to go in it and its really cool but Nate didn't let me touch anything. You probably already know that we've moved to SLC and we're having a great time being closer to family and friends. We love all the visitors and if you come to SLC call us we have plenty of room. Nahlia's first time in a pool.

We stayed in a hotel for two nights while Nate finished up school and before we made the road trip.

18 hours in a uhal our poor lil stewlet she did so good.

She reunited with a long lost friend

Helped dad drive the truckShe loved sing and dancing with dad Incase you're wondering what the drive from North Dakota to Utah looks like here are the highlights
I love the giant cow
We played in a fort And Nahlia joined a biker gangWe made it to Utah just in time for Nate's Brothers wedding to Lindsay. They've been dating for longer than Nathan and I have known each other in total so now she's officially my sister-in-law. They had a beautiful sealing and reception and we're so glad to participate in it. (I'm sorry she's not smiling but she has issues taking pictures and I would have been there all day)The boy'sAWWW I can't get enoughThanks again Erin for watching her during the sealing what a great aunt

Nahlia's first amusement/fair type experience and there where tigers. I don't think I even need to say it but Nate was more excited than Nahlia ( I was pretty excited too). I definitely had a new mom moment when I was sitting there planning exit strategies just incase a tiger escaped.

I think Nahlia's favorite where the pigs and sheep because we could get closer
Muscle Man
My Hero
When Nate and I were dating he came to the Sonoma County Fair and totally embarrassed himself so he wanted to be redeemed. He won this little fishy for Nahlia that she loves and still make her smile. We call it Nemo's girlfriend for lake of imagination.
Craig upside down

Bear Lake!!!!!
Nathan's family - Stewart side- goes to bear lake every year. This was my first year going and it was really fun. Nahlia loved being with her cousins all weekend.
Nate and his brother Paul

Nahlia and Uncle George
Nahlia and Aunt Tanya

Beach Baby

Last Saturday was Nahlia's first Utah game it wasn't her first football game that was a BYU game with her uncle James and aunt Erin (see their blog).

Last night we went to Provo for Nate's intramural game. He was so stressed out because Utah had a big game against organ during his game but they both ended up winning so it was a good night at house.

Jenna and Maddox also visited us but I didn't get any good pics of them but we had so much fun and hope they come back soon. Love you guys.
Some other random pics

OK that's everything. On another note I have some topics I would love to hear your opinions about. Tell me anything and everything they are the bailout, Sarah Palin, the election in general, Halloween costumes yours or cute ones you've see, your money saving ideas - coupons, stores, deals and Christmas - things your family does, ways to celebrate, activities, home aid present ideas, past memories. Just a few things I've been thinking about. Just pick one or all i don't care.
